SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Share your enthusiasm, be consistent and help others achieve their goals.”

I would like to begin my Eye on Arbonne success story by thanking an exceptional team for their tremendous examples of leadership, integrity and generosity, which continue to not only touch people’s lives, but change them for the better, too. Our upline, ENVP Rachele Nichols, has been quoted as saying, “Getting to District is all about you, getting to Area is mostly about you, getting to Region is very little about you and getting to Nation is not about you at all.”

I feel as though I am sitting on top of this outstanding team of business partners who all share the same dream of having choices in their lives. I just happen to have passed the opportunity along to others, who are now doing the same. So, I would like to thank each VP, Manager and business partner in our Nation because I would not have this title without your hard work and effort.

When ENVPs Tammy and Tiffany Obar shared the opportunity with me in November of 2005, I never would have imagined the success that would soon follow. I remember thinking that, hopefully, I could possibly bring in a little extra money by jumping into this opportunity. Who would have known that 90 days later, I would be driving my new white Mercedes-Benz and earning the potential to make an amazing salary? In addition, I have started new relationships with people I would have never known, if it were not for Arbonne.

Not only has this company enabled me to have the potential to help take care of our family financially, it has helped me grow personally. I have developed so many friendships which began by teaching, training and helping new business partners. I look back on my life before Arbonne and realize how little time I spent really getting to know other people. There is a whole world of people out there, just like you and me; people who have too little time to socialize, are too tired to call friends and keep in touch, and who have too many other things that have to get done. Yet, when you work with your friends and family, and are able to leverage your time, everything comes together. My work does not feel like work because I am with friends! Tammy and I joke about the fact that we spent six years teaching together and did not talk or share as much about one another as we have in the past six months. And our classrooms were only about 10 feet apart. What a difference Arbonne has made.

When Tammy approached me about Arbonne, she knew my husband and I were not strangers to finding other ways to bring in extra income. About four years earlier, we had started dabbling in online auctions just on a whim, and then found it to be a business we could share together, which brought in extra money. We became comfortable with the fact we could have that extra spending money, if we were willing to put in a little extra work at home. The only problem with that was if we stopped, so did the money.

My husband also worked for the railroad, so he had a crazy schedule. With three girls, and my teaching schedule, we were able to juggle our schedules, so they did not have to attend daycare or stay with a babysitter. The problem with that was we were like ships that passed in the night, never seeing each other. We called it “tag-team” parenting. It worked, but it was not ideal to say the least.

When ENVPs Tiffany and Tammy Obar came over to tell me more about Arbonne, I could not believe this business could really be true! I wanted to believe it, but I am a realist. I had come to believe only a few lucky people in the world had the financial freedom everyone dreams of. Although my husband, David, and I had found a way to give our girls the extras in life, we were working very hard to make that happen and giving up valuable time with each other in the process. We realized we were never going to have both the financial freedom and the time freedom at the same time.

Even after Tammy and Tiffany left, I still was not sure if this was for me. I had never done any network marketing before. In fact, I was not even sure what it was and I was a homebody! I had three girls to take care of, a job and no outside help like a housekeeper or childcare provider. My plate was full! I felt like the responsibility of building this business would fall on my shoulders. I was not sure if I could do it on my own, or if I even wanted to attempt it.

Looking back, I understand why I felt that way, but if I had known then what I know now, there would not have been a moment of hesitation. My husband and I are such a team in this venture; we have truly done this together. We took it upon ourselves to learn about network marketing, at the same time realizing that Arbonne’s outstanding products allowed for this brilliant business plan to work. Who would not want these products and opportunity to share them with others? This is an opportunity to build a business that allows you to make choices, gain friendships and grow on a personal level. My initial thought about starting this business was that I would try to make some potential extra money; what a bargain that turned out to be because what I have gained from this company cannot be measured only in dollars.

In building this business, I have heard plenty of “nos” and realize this is not a good fit for everyone. I believe one of the main obstacles we face is people’s misunderstanding about what network marketing is.

To quote my upline, “Simply put, network marketing is a method of distribution.” Many retail companies utilize advertising, media and other promotions, while network marketing uses word-of-mouth promotion. Everyone networks; however, most forms of networking do not allow you to earn income. For example, when you buy your shampoo, conditioner, vitamins, cleansing gel, baby gifts, birthday gifts, weight loss products, sunscreen, shaving gel, lip balm and a number of other personal care products, does the company you purchase those products from send you a paycheck for shopping with them? Probably not; but, with Arbonne, you have the potential to earn that.

Now, what if you referred five of your friends to a shop and they referred five of their friends — so that a total of 30 people were shopping, based on your five original referrals. Now, would the company thank you? Again, probably not, although someone earns and continues to earn income from your purchases and your referrals

So, we ask the question, “If I could show you a way to get pure, safe, beneficial products and teach you how you could potentially earn income, by referring friends and family, and teaching them to do the same, would you want to hear more?

Our teams have built a network of consumers. Only three percent of the population likes to sell, but almost everyone likes to buy incredible products at a discount. So, instead of looking for the three percent, we are looking for the other 97 percent of people who can benefit from pure, safe, beneficial products and would like to earn potential income.

The beauty of this business is that it is right there for anyone. You just have to believe! I am passionate about Arbonne. I think what I love the most about it is that in the midst of helping others find their success, you find yours. Arbonne has changed our lives, because we now have time to enjoy potential financial and time freedom.

To our upline mentors, ENVPs Jerry and Rachele Nichols, ENVPs, Lance and Jacque Groenewold and ENVPs Tiffany and Tammy Obar: I am so thankful your paths led you to my door. We have learned so much from you and will continue passing on the knowledge and support you have all given us. Thank you for all you do.

To my Regional Vice Presidents, starting with my mom, RVP Delores Marshall, my sister, RVP Kelli Bleemel and RVP Teri Wall: You girls caught the fire from the beginning and helped fuel my success. I know without a shadow of a doubt you will be joining me at the top very soon! I am so proud of all of you! To my RVPs-in-qualification, Michelle Bowles, Kim McKinnie, Kim Mays, Terri Ferris, Amy Hilgert and Kim Weger: Your consistent attitudes continue to inspire me and I cannot wait to attend those Mercedes-Benz car presentations! To my Area Managers on the VP road, including, Melinda Maynard, David Wall, Shannon Michalak, Donna King, Amber Ingram, Stacy Larson, Jenny and Curtis Jordan, Jennifer Craver, Shelley Simon, Sandee Glassett, Heather Cowan, Jennifer and Brad Bell, Cori Derksen, Jennifer Moore, Bobbi Pratt and Tachana Petty: Your ability to envision this opportunity and see what it could bring will give you everything you want, including the control of and freedom to live your lives, along with the ability to help others. I am so honored to have you on our team.

To my DMs and business partners: Believe, be consistent with your efforts, lead with this opportunity and never give up. Set your goals and achieve them. Those small, attainable goals add up to big goals and before you know it, you will be driving around in white Mercedes-Benzes!

To my family, David, Kendal, Masen and Hadyn: I love you more than words can say. Thank you for sharing me with my team and knowing I have worked really hard, so we can truly live our lives. Thanks for enduring the fast food at times, babysitting your little sister, and forgoing a few golf days to allow us to grow this business. We make an awesome team and I love you.

Above all, I want to thank for God the blessings in my life.
